Silwan, Jerusalem (SILWANIC)

The occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished on Tuesday morning the house of Ahmad Ma’moon Abbasi in the neighborhood of Sweih in Silwan without prior notice and under the pretext of building without a permit.

According to the information available to Wadi Hilweh Information Center, the occupation forces raided the neighborhood of Sweih on Tuesday morning along with four bulldozers and demolished Abbasi’s house without even taking the furniture out; note that nobody was home at the time of the demolition.

Ahmad Abbasi explained to Wadi Hilweh Center that the family built the house last February and had recently moved in. He also explained that 14 individuals lived in the 200-square meters house where seven of them are children.

Abbasi added that building the house cost the family nearly 700 thousand NIS.

He also added that the municipality’s crews had raided the house when it was under construction and assaulted the family members and then hung an administrative demolition order on the house which was postponed se times; a session was supposed to be held next week in court regarding the house.
