RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — The Palestinian Authority’s prisoners department said on Monday that Israeli forces raided Nafha prison and assaulted prisoners before moving others to solitary confinement.
The department said in a statement that special forces raided the cells, assaulted prisoners with batons, and damaged their property.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said prison guards raided wards 12 and 13 of the prison, and searched cells before moving eight prisoners to solitary confinement.
The PPS said in a statement that the prison administration informed six of them that they would be returned, while the other two will be moved to Rimon prison.
They also imposed punishments on them including banning them from the prison yard until Thursday and cutting off electricity.
