JERUSALEM, September 1, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli Police late Sunday night shot and seriously injured a Palestinian teenager with rubber-coated bullets during an incursion into Wadi al-Joz, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, according to media sources. Sixteen-year-old Mohammad Abdal-Majeed Sinokrot was directly shot with rubber-coated bullets in the head, inflicting fractures and causing him an internal bleeding in the head. He was consequently transferred to hospital where his case was described as critical.

The Israeli Police offensive has since then triggered tension in multiple areas across Jerusalem city, particularly in the Old City and Wadi al-Joz districts.

To be noted, the city of Jerusalem witnesses recurring confrontations between police and Palestinian youngsters almost on a daily basis; police forces intensively deploy their troops in its streets and neighborhoods in a provocative manner during the night hours.
